Family Fun Music and movement for children and their parents or caregivers. Family Music Makers stimulates children's learning through play. Participation Classes encourage participation rather than performance as children become involved in  developmentally appropriate ways. Small Weekly Classes Weekly 45-minute classes of six to twelve children focus on adult-child interaction.  Each session is 10 weeks long (6 weeks in summer). Classes For All Ages Little Music Makers (ages 0-4) Fun for the entire family! This mixed-age family jam session explores many different ways to be musical with our original hits, traditional favorites and songs you can groove to! Children and grown-ups delight in the magic of this musical discovery room. Kidstompers (ages 3-5) This class is geared toward children ages 3-5 and younger siblings are welcome, too. Each session will have a theme to focus the children’s imagination, ides and creativity. Games, crafts, and activities will enhance musical skills and encourage confidence and teambuilding. Kidservatory (ages 4-6) Hey kids, let’s put on a show! Children soar in this musical theatre class where we stage a production complete with singing, dancing, microphones, costumes, make-up, and scenery. Friends and family are invited to the performance on the last day of class. BRAVO! 4 Convenient Locations Classes are offered in Boston, Cambridge, Needham and Wellesley!   All classes in Family Music Makers incorporate: Multiple Activities A variety of exercises and games to enhance your child's musical and  educational  development through rhythm, chants, song,  dance, movement, instrument and fingerplay. In a typical class... We sing songs, dance, and explore a variety of rhythm instruments; we may shake maracas, tap drums, chant poems with fingerplays, twirl scarves, dance to music, rock to lullabies.  These class activities are presented as models for how families can be musical at home, in the car, and throughout the day. Dance & Movement A variety of traditional, easily-mastered dances are incorporated into the Family Music Makers repertoire. CDs & Songbook Family Music Makers presents our own repertoire each session.  Each family receives two CDs and a songbook of the current repertoire.  Many families keep one CD in the car and play the other at home so that everyone can sing and dance to the music as we do in class. Tuition Includes - 10 weekly 45 minute classes (8 weeks in the summer) - Two CDs of "Family MusicMakers" repertoire - Songbook/coloring book - Parent education materials - 2 make-up classes: we have a very  flexible make-up policy.  You can  make up classes at any of our sites during the same session.
