Inclement Weather – FMM follows local Public Schools for weather related closings. If the public school in your location is cancelled, FMM classes will be cancelled. If public schools have a delayed start, we will make the decision whether to hold classes or not (we cannot delay the start time for a class.) FMM will post our decision on our website or on our voicemail by 8:00am. We do our best to make sure classes that are cancelled due to weather are added at the end of the session.
Birthday parties – In case of a weather emergency, FMM will credit the full amount towards a mutually agreed upon rescheduled event or a future class. If the party is cancelled because the FMM instructor cannot be there, we will refund the party in full.
Makeups – FMM is happy to provide make-ups. We can allow 2 make-ups per session. There is a limit of 2 MAKEUPS per child per session for Little Music Makers and Kidstompers classes. There are no make-up classes for Kidservatory due to the structure of the rehearsal process. Makeups do not carry over to the next session. Please adhere to the makeup schedule provided. If class is cancelled due to teacher illness, it will be rescheduled.
Trial Classes – New and first-time families can visit one of our ongoing classes listed on the make-up schedule to see if Family Music Makers is a good fit!
Visitors – A special aspect of Family Music Makers is our class size. We try to maintain a ratio of a maximum of 12 children in any single class. If you need to bring older siblings to a class for holidays, school vacation days, or any other reason, please let the teacher know in advance. Other special family members or friends are also welcome, that’s we are called FAMILY Music Makers!
Registration – Payment must be received before the first class. Spaces are reserved upon receipt of payment. FMM instructors have attendance sheets – if you are not listed on the instructors roster, you will need to let the teacher know your information so we can contact you and get your family registered!
Refunds/Cancellations – There are no refunds issued once the session begins. If inability to attend an entire session is due to illness or other hardship, a credit may be issued for a subsequent session. FMM understands busy moms and changing schedules. If a class time is not working out, we are always happy to switch you to an available class. If there is no class that works in your schedule, FMM can issue a credit for a subsequent session. FMM reserves the right to cancel any class due to inadequate enrollment any time before classes begin, with full refunds provided.
Food and Drink – Please help us keep our classrooms clean. Only water is permitted in class. If your child needs a snack, please sit out of the view of other classmates until you are finished. (nursing moms exempted)
